Call for papers

Linux.conf.au 2013 will be hosted in Canberra, Australia from 28 January to 2 February 2013 with the miniconfs being held on Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 January. For more information about the conference check out https://linux.conf.au/. We are pleased to announce that the Multimedia and Music miniconf proposal has been accepted for inclusion in LCA 2013.

The Multimedia and Music miniconf call for papers is now open. We would love to see wide-ranging proposals from across the FOSS multimedia and music community:

Presentations or tutorials on subjects such as the following will be welcomed.

Please refer to our previous miniconf websites to see the diverse range of presentations we have had in the past. Presentations which have been accepted and confirmed are listed on our Timetable page but there is still plenty of room for more.

The miniconf will include both 20 minute and 50 minute presentation slots with a 5 minute question time to follow. The exact mix will be dependent on the number of proposals offered. In addition, time will be allocated for 5 minute "lightning talks". Projection facilities will be available. Please note that in line with linux.conf.au guidelines miniconfs cannot receive funding, nor can they provide travel or accommodation assistance. In general presenters and attendees at miniconfs must be registered for LCA2013.

Submission will be via email to one of the organisers with the following information.

For more information about the miniconf please refer to the website http://www.annodex.org/events/lca2013_mmm/ or contact one of the organisers (Jonathan Woithe or Silvia Pfeiffer).
