1. Approval of last meeting minutes

• Shane: update membership list with the current mailing list subscriptions

• Silvia: update web page with issues, etc.

• Silvia: initiate a discussion of the JavaScript API on WHATWG mailing list / IRC.

• Have an awesome codefest

• Nessy to chase up rillian about OSL machine
  • didn't pan out, but Chris Double has given us a VMWare server (thanks Chris!)
• Nessy and MDale to look at membership fees / corporate membership fees / hosting donation drives
  • Ongoing, Andre Pang has given us a significant donation (thanks Andre!)

3. Treasurer's report

Internet banking down at time of meeting.

James Purser reported later that the current balance is $6,776.80, which includes money from the Mozilla Foundation, from CSIRO, and from Andre Pang.

4. Servers & Systems

• Moved in October to Chris Double's VMWare server (anxen3.annodex.org)
  • Still had same memory problems - John Ferlito started monitoring and investigation (thanks John!)
    • CmmlWiki is hanging annodex threads in Png image keyframing of audio-only files. Mitigated by reducing max apache threads
    • Conrad to look at this problem
    • For now, restart apache on crash should fix problem
  • one other (unrelated) crash - unlikely to happen again (problem in VMWare)
• Thanks again John for all the great sysadmin work!

5. Annodex 1.0 Release Schedule

• Conrad
  • libfishsound (finishing the float/double/short support from trunk, and merging in existing patches for FLAC support)
  • liboggz (recently just merging in oggz-comment etc., need to discuss current status of seeking etc. with shans)
  • libannodex
  • HOgg release scheduled for Dec 6, which includes Annodex support.
  • CMMLWiki bug

  • get the skeleton I-D and the CMML I-D into good shape before the W3C video workshop (12/13 dec)
  • get libcmml into shape for writing
• John
  • new debian packages
• Shane
  • prebuffering of videos in liboggplay
  • skeleton support in liboggz

6. FOMS update & AGM planning

• FOMS meeting on 26th November
• AGM will be held immediately after FOMS in one of the FOMS rooms

ACTION: Silvia to send out invite to AGM online, for 6pm, 24th January

7. Other business

• Shane has quit CSIRO and will be starting with Google
  • will try to remain on committee if possible
  • Jean-Marc will keep an eye on CSIRO activities re: IP transfer

• W3C video workshop in San Fransisco on 12th/13th December

  • Silvia will be attending and presenting 2 position papers
    • CMML/Annodex in general (and hopefully demo liboggplay with that - best the javascript API if possible)
      • get oggplay working on Intel Mac
      • use http://metavid.ucsc.edu/wiki_dev/mv_embed/sample_page.php and get caption tags working
      • make a screencast
      • get the Javascript test page online
    • timed URIs and why they should be standardised
