Minutes

1. Approval of last meeting minutes

2. Action items review

  • Shane: update membership list with the current mailing list subscriptions
    • not yet - can still send sql dump to purserj
  • Silvia: update web page with issues, etc.
    • not yet
  • Silvia: initiate a discussion of the JavaScript API on WHATWG mailing list / IRC.
    • Talked about it at W3C workshop and they liked Shane's API demo (at ~silvia/oggplay_javascript_demo.avi), but wondered how much in sync it is with the WHATWG spec.
    • Silvia wants to do a comparative analysis.

3. Finances

James Purser reported that we now have $4,650.11 in the bank, after paying James Courtier-Dutton's trip to FOMS and receiving the BBC FOMS fee.

4. Election / AGM

  • Conrad has set up the election system and mailed out a schedule and request for nominations
  • nominations are open till jan 3, at which point (if we have nominations for all positions) he'll set up a condorcet thingy and voting will be open until foms


5. Servers & Systems

  • The servers have been more stable since John has done some tweaking to the setup
  • somehow on annodex.net, the software directory ended up being basically empty

ACTION: Conrad and Silvia to extract old sw tarballs from archive.org or other backups


6. Annodex 1.0 Release Schedule

  • Conrad
    • liboggz, libfishsound are on-track to have featureful 1.0 releases for foms/lca
  • Silvia
    • had a great workshop at W3C with lots of interest in Annodex
    • needs to update I-Ds

ACTION: invite ctford to FOMS re php_annodex
