1. Project updates

  • a new version of metavidwiki is in the making: mvbox2.cse.ucsc.edu
  • new release of liboggz includes oggz-chop, which is to replace mod_annodex
  • new release of liboggplay requires man pages and other small fixes before packaging
  • packages of metavidwiki, liboggz and other libraries are in debian testing
  • package of oggz-chop would be great to create a annodex video server
  • libannodex and mod_annodex won't be packaged, since liboggz and oggz-rip replace them
  • mdale noticed that xiphqt skeleton has audio sync issues
  • liboggplay javascript API should be pushed through WhatWG
  • j^ has been working on gstreamer skeleton support

2. Maintainership for liboggplay

Silvia's blog post found one interested person. He/she may not have enough experience coding on Linux, but we'll give it a try. Continue in community fashion for the moment for liboggplay maintenance.

3. Annodex.net website sucks

  • maybe replace it with a mediawiki
  • could also contain a metavidwiki to publish video
  • each project needs its own pages - possibly plain html templates
